David Sheldrick's Elephant Orphanage
Duration: 3 hours Guests depart after breakfast for the National Park and the David Sheldrick's Elephant Orphanage via Nairobi’s suburbs. Visitors have the opportunity to interact with and learn more about orphaned elephants and rhino. Guests are transferred back to their respective hotels.
Carnivore Restaurant
Duration: 3 hours Enjoy lunch or dinner at this internationally acclaimed restaurant. Patrons have the option to a variety of barbecued game meat on the menu. Karen Blixen & Giraffe Centre Duration: 3 hours The tour starts at the former home of Karen Von Blixen, acclaimed for her book ‘Out of Africa’ before continuing on to the Giraffe Centre where guests have the opportunity to feed giraffe from an elevated platform.
Nairobi National Park Duration: 4 hours
Guests enjoy a morning game drive in the National Park and have the opportunity to see the park’s abundant wildlife including lion, rhino and a variety of ungulates and birds. Outside the park’s gate visitors have the option of a ‘safari walk’.
NAIROBI City Tour Duration: 6 hours
Guests depart from the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, via the residential area of Langata, before proceeding to the Giraffe Centre to feed the Rothschild Giraffes. Lunch at the Carnivore, a tour of the Karen Blixen Museum and a tour of the National Museum concludes the excursion.
KIambethu Tea Farm Duration: 4 hours
Kiambethu Farm at Limuru, a short drive from Nairobi, gives visitors some insight into Kenya’s rural way of life. Founded by AB McDonnell in 1910 and currently managed by his granddaughter, Fiona Vernon, this tea-estate contributes to what has become one of Kenya’s largest export products. The farm house is set within beautiful gardens surrounded by acres of tea and indigenous forest; home to the Colobus Monkey and other indigenous wildlife.
